I am originally from a small town in Michigan. I lived there for 18 years before joining the Air Force shortly after graduating from high school. Since then I have spent the years traveling all over the United States and the world. I currently live in Texas where I am studying online to earn my Master's degree in Instructional Technology. I hope to start teaching in the fall. I plan on using all of the wonderful Web 2.0 tools and other technology available in my classroom to help my students become well-rounded citizens with the ability to gather, analyze and synthesis information in order to form solid opinions and solutions.
In my free time I love to read, sew, and be outdoors. I love (and hate) running. Last year I was able to conquer one of my goals when I ran in my first (and second) half-marathons. Some day I hope to work up the nerve to run in a full marathon.
